Baby’s Size…Week 20

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. She’s also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel. Baby’s digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, [...]

How far along? 19 weeks

Maternity clothes? Yes and no. I can still fit into my pre-pregnancy pants (with the Bella Band), but maternity pants are just so much more comfortable!
Sleep: Pretty good. I wake up on [...]

Baby’s Size…Week 19

Your baby’s sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. So far I’ve been feeling really good this week. I have had more energy through out the day and I just feel good. At least once a week I still run 3 miles. I am a bit slower and take more brakes through out the run, but I make it and feel wonderful afterwords! Tomorrow [...]

Week 17…Baby’s Size

Baby’s skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.

16 Weeks

Look how thick I am getting around the middle…oi! I can definitely tell that I am starting to grow (slowly), but strangers would not be able to tell. I’ve been wearing sun dresses more lately because 1. it’s too hot for jeans! and 2. it gives me a little room in the belly while I’m [...]

Baby Bartee’s Heart Beat

The first pulsing is my heart beat. The second one is the baby’s. The baby’s is almost twice as fast as mine (it’s been about 167). You can hear it better towards the end of the clip. Rocko was curious of what was going on. I told him it’s his little brother or sister that [...]
