That’s what Seth decided to call it. We went to Kobe Steakhouse Monday night for our last dinner together before we become parents and boy was it good! It was a nice relaxing night as we took in the silence and freedom of being childless. Of course we can go out together once we do have kids, but this was the last time we were just husband and wife and not mom and dad. 

My last weekly update! I am scheduled to be induced this weekend, so I will not be making it to my due date. She may even decide to enter the world earlier, but we will see! I had my last Dr. apt. on Monday and he wanted to get things moving…painful! Hopefully it will help and I wont be in labor too long! Keep us all in your prayers as we become a family of 3 (plus our 2 pups)!

How far along? 38 weeks

Total weight gain/loss:  30 pounds total. 

Maternity clothes? Yes of course. Can’t wait to get out of them!

Sleep: Eh. It’s alright. Trying to get as much now before she gets here.

Best moment this week: Finding out my induction date! Who knows, maybe she will come on her own.

Movement: Still lots. They were having a hard time monitoring her on Monday because she was moving so much. I think she’s ready to get out and stretch!

Food cravings: Nada.

Gender: GIRL!!

Belly Button in or out? It never fully popped but it came close enough.

What I miss: Lifting, moving, or organizing things on my own. I hate depending on Seth to do everything for me.

What I am looking forward to: Having my baby this week! Can’t wait to meet my little angel!

Weekly Wisdom: Use this time to take it all in. Things are about to change forever.

Milestones: These last 9 months have been a journey! For the most part I’ve had an enjoyable pregnancy and I wouldn’t change a thing about it!

This is my 100th post since starting this blog and I thought I would celebrate by adding a little video of the baby moving. Kinda cool and creepy all at the same time!

How your baby’s growing:

Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she’s over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you’ll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.

Wondering what color your baby’s eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If she’s born with brown eyes, they’ll likely stay brown. If she’s born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time she’s 9 months old. That’s because a child’s irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she’s born, but they usually won’t get “lighter” or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.)

 Update: I had an appointment on Monday and the Dr. went over my ultra sound from Friday. The baby is definitely measuring big and there is a slight increase in fluid so he wants to induce me in a week or so! I seriously was not expecting to hear that and about fell off the table. You mean I could have a baby in about a week? Whoa! The reason is because bigger baby’s demand more from the placenta and it would be best to get her out sooner rather than later. I honestly don’t care when she comes or if they decide to evict her, just as long as she is healthy! If this will keep her as healthy as possible, then so be it. Now I’m just waiting on the induction date from the Dr.

How far along? 37 weeks

Total weight gain/loss:  30 pounds total. 

Maternity clothes? Yes. I am now wearing the same 5 outfits every week. It’s kind of sad.

Sleep: Not the greatest. So much pressure on my rib cage. I also wake up with a stiff neck/arm/body every morning.

Best moment this week: Well this definitely came as a shocker, but finding out I may be induced next weekend. It’s a mixed emotions type of feeling!

Movement: Yes. She is a wild thing in there.

Food cravings: Nada.

Gender: GIRL!!

Belly Button in or out? It is pretty much out.

What I miss: My body not being achy. It’s just a constant lower back pain, or rib pain when laying down.

What I am looking forward to: Having my baby! I’m a little nervous about labor, but I know it will be all worth it.

Weekly Wisdom: Expect the unexpected! You can not plan this type of thing, so have an open mind and be ready for anything!

Milestones: I am now officially full term!!
