…Was Wednesday and it was pretty low-key. We heard her talking in her crib so we wondered in singing happy birthday. She just looked at us curious as to what was going on. We didn’t buy her much seeing how the grandparents will probably spoil her rotten for both her birthday and Christmas, but we couldn’t go without getting her something. I didn’t feel like wrapping it, so we covered it with a blanket. You can see her reaction in the video below. (It’s a little long, but you get the gist.)
For lunch we joined my parents at Olive Garden, one of our favorite places. Afterwords we took a trip down to Universal Studios to watch the Barney show, which by the way, is that show even on TV anymore? Anywho, we all have “employee” ID’s to get in, so we made it a quick trip. Rylie was a bit tired and out of it, but she seemed to enjoy the show.
Seth had to go into work that night so we came home and let Rylie dive into her cupcake. I will let the pictures do the talking.
After she was all cleaned up, in the tub of course, we went out side and enjoyed the beautiful weather and her new car!
I think it was a great 1st birthday for her. We can’t wait for her party and to celebrate with all of our friends and family next weekend!
