Our Weekend

25 Apr

*Photo overload is about to take place. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

Our church had a picnic at the park and Easter egg hunt Saturday. We were looking forward to hanging out with friends, letting Rylie run around, and watching her get some eggs, but when you have a toddler things can change in an instant. We arrived at the park and she was fine. Daddy pushed her in the swing, she went down the slide and even said hello to a few of her friends.

The next thing we know she is screaming uncontrollably for about–well lets just say a long time. It was finally time for the Easter egg hunt and she was getting even more ticked because she could see the eggs, but we couldn’t let her get them yet. Once they said “go!” I ran ahead of her to snag some pictures, but once again she cried. It wasn’t until she realized what was going on that she calmed down and put the eggs in the bucket.

Sunday was a lot better (thank goodness). We attended the sunrise service with our church and prayed Rylie would behave. I was so proud of her. She was tired afterwords though. This picture says it all.

We started the morning off at Seth’s parents for breakfast. Rylie had another Easter egg hunt and was so much more excited than the previous day! She loved it. She would carry her basket, set it down, run to pick up eggs, run back and put them into the basket. It was so cute to watch.

And to wrap up a busy weekend we went to my parents for lunch/dinner and swam in the pool. Rylie is such a water baby. She has no fear which makes me fearful. Living in Florida there are many bodies of water everywhere you go. I am definitely looking into swimming lessons for my little daredevil.

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!

It looks like you guys had a great weekend, minus the crying. 😉 She looks so cute going after her eggs. Great pictures!

I’m so glad she loves the water. My kids do too! I just posted today about how we’re going to have to do lessons again this summer. Let me know if you find someone.
